Nets could lose Williams for season

The New Jersey Nets may lose star point guard Deron Williams for the remainder of the season because of a troublesome wrist injury.

Williams recently aggravated his strained right wrist and believes that the only solution at this point is rest to see if it will heal.

Head coach Avery Johnson said he wanted to take Williams out of the game, but that his point guard wouldn’t come out.

Williams said that he loves playing basketball and hates to sit out and miss games, so this is a very difficult decision for him to make.

The Nets certainly don’t want to risk further injury to their prized point guard, especially when they hold out hopes of re-signing him after next season.
